YAN WAL YUN - Overview

Yan Wal Yun, the seasoning sauce factory, was established in 1947. The business started as a family business. Through hard work and dedication, the business grew rapidly. Within five years, the company was well recognized by Thai consumer as one of the leader in seasoning sauce for Thai and Chinese dishes. Since it started to be famous, the company has developed and penetrated the seasoning market under the name of Healthy Boy Brand, Twin Boy Brand, Olympic Brand, Riding Dragon Boy Brand, Riding Kiren Boy Brand and Riding Swan Boy Brand in 1993.

Yan Wal Yun has successfully established a strong foodhold with 69.7% market share in Thai Soy Sauce market and become one of the leading company in this industry.

	1947	Established of Yan Wal Yun.
	1954	First expansion of Yan Wal Yun’s factory. Due to the increase of highdemand for Yan Wal Yun’s products. Mr.Vichien Tangsombatvisit the present CEO has moved the factory from Silom rd. to Sathorn District which was ten times bigger than the previous one.
	1970	Registered as Company Limited. The rapid growth of business has lead to the reform of organization to enable Yan Wal Yun to perform competitively. The company has registered its capital at 20 million baht.
	1980	Second expansion of Yan Wal Yun’s factory. Over 26 years of success Mr.Vichien Tangsombatvisit has foreseen the incoming demand of his product. He has moved the factory to Tachin District, Samutsakorn province. The total area of this factory is around 28 acers. Increase the registered capital to 300 million baht. In the same year as the new factory is introduced, Yan Wal Yun has increased its capital from 20 million baht to 300 million baht.
	1982	Received the “Halal Seal” through the believe in quality and hygiene of Yan Wal Yun’s products. The Islamic Council of Thailand has given the company a privilege to display the Halal sign for all of company’s products.
	1985	Expanded to oversea market. With the success in Thai local market and the achive of world class quality standard. Yan Wal Yun has been accepted in all the world’s major markets as in Europe, America, Australia and Asia.
	1987	Received Thai Industrial Standards in soy sauce category from the Industrial Ministry. To ensure our quality and consistency towards consumer around the world, Yan Wal Yun was the first company who has been granted the TIS Mark in soy sauce category.
	1990	Reengineering from Family to Professional Business. To welcome the big change of the 90’s Yan Wal Yun has restructured its organization from top management to bottom. In order to increase company’s effectiveness and efficiency.
	1993	Expanded product range to fermented soy bean products by established Visu Industry Co.,Ltd.. To cover and expand the range of soy bean market.
	1997	Second expansion of Yan Wal Yun’s factory . Through 50 years of success, Yan Wal Yun has expanded and constructed the highly advance in soy sauce production facilities. The new facilities has employed the latest technology in soy sauce production process which lead Yan Wal Yun to be one of the most advance in the world of Soy Sauce Manufacturing Industry.
	1998	ISO 9002 and HACCP. To guarantee our quality and services for all customer. Yan Wal Yun has started the quality procedures according to both ISO 9001:2000 and HACCP.
	1999	Yan Wal Yun Co.,Ltd. has received certificate of ISO 9001:2000 from SGS on June 28,1999
